Maintaining Full-Time Enrollement
In order to maintain your status, students must enroll in a full-time course of study each Fall and Spring semester. Summer enrollment is not mandatory unless the summer term is your first term.
- Graduate Students – 9 credit hours
- Undergraduate Students – 12 credit hours
If you are about to graduate and want to enroll in less than full-time in the last semester (see section above for what is considered “full time”), firstly you must meet with our office to discuss if you are eligible for the Reduced Course Load. If it is allowed, you will need to complete the Reduced Course Load Form. Deadline for the Reduced Course Load is January 7, 2019, for students on RCL due to program completion. During the semester, please make sure to contact your instructors before applying for an RCL. Instructors can help if you feel that you are not doing well in the course.
- F-1 students are allowed to enroll in one online course as part of their full-time enrollment each term.
- If you will graduate in Fall 2018 and only have one course to complete your program of study, the course cannot be completed through online or distance education. Please talk to your academic department for options regarding on-campus courses.
